Having immigrated to Canada in the late 1990s, Hilario Durán is a celebrated musician on both the Canadian and Cuban music scenes, and the recipient of numerous awards. During his impressive career, he has played with jazz luminaries such as Chucho Valdés, Dizzy Gillespie, and Michel Legrand, and founded his own production company, Es mi musica Productions.

In addition to participating in the concert under the direction of João Lenhari, Hilario Durán will lead a free masterclass on March 25, 2026, offering musicians and the general public alike the chance to learn more about his art.
